Gloria Dei takes seriously our work with vulnerable adults, youth and children. All volunteers who serve through our ministries are required to complete a background check and take an online training, as described in our Ministry Volunteer Handbook and church policies. We use Protect My Ministry resources to manage background screenings and to communicate policies and expectations. The video guides all volunteers through the risks and signs of abuse in children, but the information is applicable to working with people of all ages. Protect My Ministry concludes with an online test. We recommend you take this training on a desktop or laptop computer. (Plan on about 60 minutes to complete the entire process.)
