The Congregational Council met for its monthly meeting on June 20. The Council approved Gloria Dei’s initial allocation of funds toward reparations — $15,000 to Dream of Wild Health. We reviewed and approved updates to the Employee Handbook as forwarded by the HR Committee. Treasurer Ben Finkelstein informed us that after a down March, giving in April and May rebounded and that we are well-positioned relative to our 2023 budget forecast. The Council endorsed the direction of the Ministry Site Profile. The working draft of this document captures who we are as a congregation, our current trends, challenges, and hopes for the future. The work on the Ministry Site Profile continues and will be part of the Call Committee’s agenda as that group meets in July.
